Terms of Use
These terms of use (the "Terms") govern the use of the koolab.cc website, the Koolab mobile app and related services (together, the "Service"). Koolab provides content creators with digital tools to present their work and track their collaborations. Koolab does not hold creators' money, collects nothing on their behalf and pays out nothing. The French version prevails in case of discrepancy.
1. Publisher
The Service is published by WEND TECH, a sole proprietorship registered with the Trade and Personal Property Credit Register (RCCM) of Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso, under number BFBBD012025A1000864, tax identification number (IFU) 00268427X, operated by Wend Pegre Aristide Sawadogo ("Koolab", "we").
Publisher's legal contact details: phone (+226) 65 17 07 78, e-mail [email protected], website www.wendtech.site.
User support: [email protected].
2. Purpose of Koolab
Koolab provides content creators ("Creators") with digital tools: a public professional profile at koolab.cc/@name, a media kit, a portfolio, the presentation of their social networks and services, a sharing tool, and a private space (the "Studio") with a dashboard, visit statistics and a collaboration tracker.
Koolab is neither an agency, nor a financial intermediary, nor a marketplace: it does not match parties for a fee, does not negotiate and does not handle payments between Creators and their partners.
3. Acceptance
By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these Terms and the privacy policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.
The Terms are available at any time from the website footer. In case of discrepancy between versions, the French version prevails.
4. Registration and account security
Creators create their account on the website with an e-mail address and a password of at least 8 characters. In the mobile app they may also sign in with their TikTok account through the network's official login service: Koolab then never receives their TikTok password. A social account can be linked to one Koolab account only.
Each user keeps their credentials confidential, provides accurate, up-to-date information and is responsible for the activity of their account. Any unauthorised access must be reported without delay to [email protected].
If a password is forgotten, a single-use reset link valid for one hour is sent to the account's e-mail address. Using it signs out every open session.
Koolab may refuse a registration or close an account created in breach of these Terms.
5. Age requirement
The Service is for people aged 18 or over. This is a condition set by Koolab. Koolab deletes accounts created by younger people as soon as it becomes aware of them.
The Service is currently offered to people living in the WAEMU countries.
6. Services provided
Koolab may change these services. Features announced as "coming soon" or "in preparation" are not provided until they go live.
- Public profile: a koolab.cc/@name page presenting the Creator (display name, headline, intro, city, categories, languages, social networks and declared follower count, portfolio, services and indicative rates, optional professional contact).
- Media kit: a printable version of the public profile that the Creator can save as a PDF from their browser.
- Sharing: profile link, sharing through WhatsApp or the phone's share sheet.
- Studio: dashboard (profile completion), visit statistics of the public page, private collaboration tracker (stages, deadlines, amounts the Creator notes themselves).
- Android app: viewing the profile, statistics and collaborations; editing is done on the website. The app is distributed as a test version.
7. Publishing profiles
The public profile and media kit are visible only if the Creator ticks "Publish my profile". Publishing requires at least a koolab.cc/@name address, a headline or an intro, and one social network.
Once published, they are visible to anyone with the link. Published profiles may be indexed by search engines; the Creator can object at any time from "My profile" (option "Hide my profile from search engines").
The Creator can hide their profile at any time from the Studio; the page then answers "not found".
The koolab.cc/@name address is chosen by the Creator among available addresses. Koolab may refuse or withdraw a reserved or misleading address, or one infringing a third party's rights.
The Creator may add a cover photo and one image per portfolio item (6 at most) to their profile. On upload, each photo is resized and converted, and its metadata (EXIF data, including location, camera and date taken) is removed.
8. Accuracy of declared information
The Creator is responsible for what they publish. They warrant that the information is accurate, that they hold the rights to the content and links shown, and that the contact details displayed are their own or those of a person who agreed. For every photo they publish, they warrant that they hold its rights and have the consent of any recognisable person shown in it.
Follower counts typed by the Creator are shown as "declared"; Koolab does not check them. Only numbers read from a TikTok account connected in the app are presented as verified, with the date they were read.
Services and rates shown on a public profile are indicative and set by the Creator. They are not an offer from Koolab and must be confirmed directly with the Creator.
9. Commercial collaborations
Agreements Creators make with brands, agencies or any other partner (services, price, deadlines, usage rights, payment) are made directly between them. Koolab is not a party to these agreements and does not guarantee their performance.
The Studio's collaboration tracker is a personal notebook: what is entered there (partner, contact, stage, deadline, agreed amount, payment received or not, notes) is visible to the Creator only and does not bind Koolab.
Each party remains responsible for its legal obligations, including disclosing commercial content where the law or the social network requires it, and for its tax and social declarations.
10. No escrow
Koolab does not hold, keep or escrow any money on behalf of Creators or their partners. No wallet, balance or credit is kept for users of the Service.
11. No payment handling
Koolab collects no payment on behalf of Creators, pays them nothing and takes no commission on their collaborations. Creators are paid directly by their partners, by the means they choose together. Koolab does not intervene in payment disputes.
Amounts entered in the collaboration tracker are the Creator's own notes; they trigger no money movement on Koolab.
The former offer of paid campaigns with a wallet and withdrawals is no longer provided. As of this version, no account holds a balance and no such operation is possible on the Service.
12. Intellectual property
Content published by the Creator (text, images, links, referenced videos) remains their property or that of the rights holders. By publishing it, the Creator allows Koolab to host, display and transmit it to the people who view their public profile or media kit, worldwide, for as long as the profile is published. This permission ends when the profile is hidden or the account deleted.
The Service, its brand, logo, texts, code and interface belong to WEND TECH or its licensors. Any reproduction, extraction or reuse without written permission is prohibited, beyond normal use of the Service.
13. Free offer and future Pro offer
Koolab Free is free of charge and gives access to the essential features, within these limits: 8 social networks, 6 portfolio items, 6 services and 100 tracked collaborations.
Koolab Pro is a future paid offer, not marketed as of this version. The Studio's "Pro" survey only gathers Creators' interest; answering it is neither a subscription nor a commitment, and no payment is requested.
Should Koolab offer a paid plan, it will apply only after express acceptance of specific terms stating the price, duration and cancellation conditions.
14. Prohibited behaviour
- impersonating a person or a brand, or suggesting a partnership that does not exist;
- showing audience numbers known to be false, or artificially inflating views, followers or interactions;
- publishing a third party's contact details without their consent;
- publishing a photo one does not hold the rights to, or showing a recognisable person without their consent;
- publishing or linking unlawful, hateful, misleading or malicious content, or content infringing others' rights;
- creating several accounts to get around a rule, a hidden profile or a suspension;
- attempting unauthorised access to the Service or its data, disrupting it, or mass-collecting public profiles;
- using the Service for any unlawful activity.
15. Moderation and suspension
Koolab may hide a public profile that breaches these Terms. The reason is shown to the Creator in their Studio and the decision is logged; the profile can only be published again once the decision is lifted.
Koolab may also remove a photo that breaches these Terms without hiding the profile: the photo is erased and the removal is logged with its reason.
In case of serious or repeated breach, Koolab may suspend or close the account. The Creator may contest a decision by writing to [email protected]; Koolab answers within a reasonable time.
16. Account deletion
Creators can delete their account at any time from the Studio (My profile › Delete my account), from the app settings, or by writing to [email protected]. Deletion is immediate: the public profile disappears, its photos are erased, account data is erased or anonymised, and every session is closed. The "Delete my account" page details what is erased and what is kept.
17. Data protection
The processing of personal data is described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these Terms.
18. Availability
Koolab uses reasonable means to keep the Service available, without guaranteeing continuous availability. The Service may be interrupted for maintenance or updates and relies on third parties (hosting providers, social networks) outside Koolab's control. The website may take a few seconds to load on a first visit.
19. Respective responsibilities
The Creator is solely responsible for the content of their profile, the accuracy of their declarations, the contact details they display and the agreements they make with their partners.
Koolab is responsible for providing the tools described in section 6 under these Terms. Koolab is not responsible for content published by Creators, for relations between Creators and partners, or for indirect damage such as loss of income or opportunities, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
20. Complaints and disputes
Complaints are sent to [email protected]. The parties first seek an amicable solution. Failing agreement, the commercial court of Bobo-Dioulasso (Burkina Faso) has jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protection rules in the user's country of residence.
21. Changes to the Terms
Koolab may change these Terms. The version date is shown at the top of the page. Users are informed of significant changes before they apply, by e-mail or by a message in the Service; continuing to use the Service means accepting them. A user who refuses the new terms may delete their account.
22. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Burkina Faso and the OHADA Uniform Acts.
