Content creator media kit: what to put in it (free example)
A brand interested in you wants to understand in two minutes who you are, who follows you and what you offer. A media kit answers those three questions on one page. Here is what it should contain, what to avoid, and how to get one without spending an evening on Canva.

What is a media kit?
A media kit is a content creator's professional business card: a short document, usually one page, that presents your activity, your audience and your services to a brand, an agency or an event organiser.
Its only job is to let someone who does not know you decide quickly whether they want to work with you. It does not replace the conversation or the quote. It opens the door. You do not need a large audience to have one: a clear presentation builds more trust than a bigger account with no information.
The 7 things a brand expects
- Your presentation: who you are, your topic (food, fashion, tech, comedy, sport…), your city and one line about your tone. Two or three lines, no more.
- Your audience, network by network: follower counts on each platform (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube…), with the date you recorded them. A dated figure is credible; an undated one raises doubts.
- Your standout content: three to five links to videos or posts that represent your work well.
- Your services and indicative rates: what you concretely offer (TikTok video, Reel, story, post, event appearance, UGC…) and a price range for each. The word "indicative" leaves you room to adjust.
- Your contact: a professional e-mail address or a dedicated WhatsApp number, and which one you prefer.
- Your city and languages: a brand in Abidjan, Ouagadougou or Dakar wants to know whether you can travel and which languages you speak to your audience.
- Past collaborations: brands or events you have already worked with. If none yet, show sponsored-style content you made on your own.

Common mistakes
- Sending a ten-page PDF. A brand reads the first page. Everything that matters must fit on it.
- Figures without dates. Followers change every week.
- Hiding your rates. An indicative rate saves time on both sides and filters out requests that do not suit you.
- Forgetting the contact. Obvious, yet many media kits have neither an e-mail nor a number.
- Sending screenshots of your statistics. Unreadable on a phone and hard to verify. A link to your profile is better.
- Letting the media kit age. A six-month-old document suggests an inactive creator.
How Koolab generates your media kit automatically
On Koolab you do no layout work. You fill in your profile once: presentation, city, categories, languages, social networks with the follower counts you declare, portfolio, services with indicative rates, and an optional professional contact.
As soon as you publish, your page koolab.cc/@you is live and your media kit exists at koolab.cc/@you/media-kit. It is a printable version of your profile: save it as a PDF from your browser, or simply send the link.
- Always up to date: edit your profile and the media kit changes with it.
- One link to share, by WhatsApp, e-mail or in your bio.
- Your figures are marked "declared" until they are verified. It is honest, and brands appreciate it.
- Your profile stays private until you tick "Publish my profile". You can hide it at any time.
